AStar FX2The single engine AS 350 Ecureuil is renowned for its high performance, its safety and its reduced operating costs. The AS 350 has a proven track record. Its flexibility and low acquisition cost has made it a very sought-after helicopter to perform a wide range of missions (passenger transport, aerial work, fire fighting, etc.). The FX2 is a modified version of the Astar 350 BA, giving the aircraft a lighter empty weight while still retaining the maximum gross weight of the basic AS350. The result is an additional 180 lbs of useful load. Furthermore, the LTS101 700D-2 engine provides greater performance at hotter and higher altitudes all together with lower fuel consumption.
